• Rewrite of the base layout with the following improvements:
  • More flexible gesture options: the gestures for search and widgets can now be configured freely
  • All gestures are now handled the same way, so secondary gestures (screen off, notifications, launch app, etc) should feel more natural now
  • The "hidden" search bar style is now actually hidden and no longer takes space on screen
  • Added support for predictive back animations
• More theming options
  • we already had color schemes, but now there are also shape schemes, typography schemes and transparency schemes to give more control over the look and feel of the launcher
  • Important: the theme file format has been changed. For now, backward compatibility has been maintained, so you can still import the old format, but this might change in the future. If you have published a theme somewhere, you are adviced you to re-export it and update it for the new format
  • Added a new Material 3 high contrast theme
  • The card border option has been removed
• The progress bar in the music widget is no longer interactive by default. An option has been added to restore the old behavior.
• Added an analog clock variant that has tick marks (thanks to @shtrophic )
• Bug fixes

So far this release is pretty good. The only niche complaint is that there is no way to change/disable the animations. Because I have changed in my phones dev setting that animations are quicker, so it makes the animations on the tomescreen and settings weird.
Otherwise so far the UX change just needs a bit gutting used to.

I honestly loved that it was invisible but still present. It was there but freed up visual real estate. Any possibility to add it back in as some sort of 'invisible' option as well?

I can't seem to be able to recreate what I had prior to this update.
I liked having the clock at the bottom of my screen and when I swipe up it shows my favorites widget immediately underneath the clock but it all remained justified to the bottom.

Please help!

I LOVED how the widget page used to be able to be slid up smoothly from the bottom of the screen without taking up my entire screen. This seems to have been changed. Is there a way to revert this back to a smooth movement? On my widget page I only have a weather widget and music player so I would easily slide it up just enough to see what I needed. Now it takes over the whole screen and puts that content at the top of my screen where it's harder to reach for my thumb. Since I have only two widgets, the whole screen is basically empty. This seems like a downgrade from previous behavior. I didn't see a way to change this in the settings.

There is also a LOT of dead space under my favorite icons on my main screen, and the top widget in the widget panel. Like a huge gap. So you really have to swipe it all the way up to see anything at all. The previous version there was almost no dead space and it looked much nicer and only slid up as far as you wanted it.

The old behavior was vastly superior.

I will say. I do like the other changes I see. The app page looks nicer and there are improvements. But this change above is such a big one since it's something I use constantly and something I loved a lot that other launchers simply don't have, so for that I'll be sticking with the older version for now until this new version is improved more. This has been my favorite launcher for a long time and I preach about it to people all the time so hopefully this will be addressed because I want to keep using this awesome launcher y'all work so hard on for all of us.

Completely agree, the new way feels kind of clunky. It would be great to have a toggle to turn it off, along with the haptic when swiping to the widget or search screens.

Not sure if this is the update's fault, so I'm hesitant to open an issue for it, but after installing the update I noticed some of my widgets don't get updated anymore.

I have a single Google Note widget that displays my shopping list. Before, I could click on it to open the notes app, edit my list, close it again and the widget would immediately display the updated list. Now, it doesn't seem to update anymore, it still shows the same list from a few days before.

Again, not sure if this was caused by the update or if this is a coincidence but maybe someone else experiences the same issue.

Recent update brought problems for me.
Icons on home screen are randomly half drawn. One icon is always half drawn. Possibly an icon pack issue?

Also, I can no longer find kvaesitso in the app drawer, though I'm not sure I remember it ever being there.. never checked lol
