get code coverage of code cov itself

at the moment the tests for codecov estimate the coverage of some dummy code base

but it'd be nice to know the coverage of codecov itself that is run during the tests: the problem I ran into is that we get some infinite recursion when trying to do that

Indeed. We can discuss it on Monday. I recall at some point we considered having a specific script that would copy/rename the entire content of the repo (including functions and maybe folders) and maybe doing that avoid the recursion.
