Where is LRF-calib?

Is there a reason why the LRF-calib app has never been merged into the master branch? It's present here (https://github.com/EduFdez/mrpt/tree/LRF-calib/apps/LRF-calib) and I'm wondering why it was never merged, considering it's quite interesting.
