NTL support was requested but NTL could not be detected

When upgrading M2 with homebrew on my MacBook with MacOS Sequoia 15.4.1, I got the following:

The upgrading failed and I cannot roll back to the old version.

Have you run brew update recently? There was a new version of NTL released a few days ago, so that might be related. I'm also confused why it's building something... all the dependencies should be bottled in macos-15.

Same problem here when doing brew install Macaulay2/tap/M2 on Apple M1 MacOS 26.1
