Description
After buying these lights, i got tired of the included controller and software quicker than i could hang the lights.
So, ofcourse, i directly connected Wled and tried all available protocols.
I came to the conclusion, that none of them worked.
Working for a company that sells their own ledcontrollers, i tried one of those with the developer of that one.
We discovered that the protocol in that controller that worked, is WS2812S
Details of what our developer pointed out to me, was the 600 kHz clock.
The WS2812S in the controller i used succesfully might have some other details, but i can ask around for that
The main thing is, we have a working protocol and working lights.
But i hope this can be implemented into NeoPixelBus, cause that controller is about 20 times as expensive as the led curtain due to licenses on the universes. And you need 400 LED, which is 3 universes.
A lot of people have these curtains now, hoping to connect them to Wled, so i would like to help them out a bit by sending in this issue
So i hope to see support added to Neopixelbus and will gladly help testing if the solution works.
A couple of ideas came by on the Wled discord, of which one of them is a more customizable protocol setting, so different parts of the timing in the protocol can be adjusted from the interface.
Through this, it might be possible to adapt for future protocol alterations, and become compatible with way more random chinese LED products, that have a crappy app.
