Whether you are analysing geosphere, biosphere, cryosphere, hydrosphere, and atmosphere, in short all Earth related sciences this is the place to be!

What is available?

Tools

Tools for earth data analysis are freely available in the ToolShed which can be installed on any Galaxy server.

If tools are missing or information is not up-to-date in the list, please help us! Contact us on Matrix channel Earth Climate Ecology Sciences or reach out by mail to one of us Marie, Yvan or Jérôme about it.

Workflows and tutorials

Several curated Galaxy workflows are publicly available for different kinds of earth data analysis. Many of these are accompanied by comprehensive GTN Tutorials that will guide you through the analysis step by step.

How is Galaxy used for earth data analysis?

Institutes / Projects

Below is a list of projects involving members of this community:

Project Description
Data Terra EOSC node The EOSC Node for the Earth system and environmental sciences
GAIA Data Aims at operating a distributed and integrated infrastructure of data and services for observing and modeling the Earth system, biodiversity, and the environment
EOSC FAIR-EASE A new approach to observation and modelling of the Earth System, Environment and Biodiversity
EOSC AquaINFRA Develops data and services to support marine and freshwater scientists and stakeholders

Below is a list of institutes supporting this work:

Project Description
Data Terra research infrastructure — works on earth system data, open science, and has dynamic communities across it's five thematic hubs (AERIS, FORMATER, ODATIS, PNDB, and THEIA).
LifeWatch ERIC a European e-Science infrastructure for biodiversity and ecosystem research, providing virtual labs, services, and a thriving community across the biodiversity domain.
