How to get to ApplicationContext.DefaultTransactionIsolationLevel in csla 8? #4619

I'm looking at updating to csla 8 and i see the static properties on ApplicationContext like ApplicationContext.DefaultTransactionIsolationLevel are gone and now set thru the options. My question though is how do we get the values now in the data portal methods? We sometimes need to manually control the TS, but still use some of the defaults from Csla. Is there something we inject into the DP method? |

@rockfordlhotka, no, not using the Transaction attribute, we are handling the scope manually. So I guess we are using thre Transactional attribute but its set to Manual. |

@rockfordlhotka Also I looked at Csla itself, and it seems to get CslaOptions from the service provider, so can i just inject an instance of CslaOptions to get to the DataOptions? |

Yes, that should work. Changing the default while the app is running may have unintended side effects, especially in multi-threaded environments, like on a web server. |

@rockfordlhotka Thanks Rocky. That's a good point, we only use it to read the settings but the options do allow changing it. maybe i should create an interface/implementation to wrap the settings so they are readonly |
