Yes, and the problem still exists.

Bug Description

after using Filament Change feature once, there is no possibility to adjust its parameters trying to use it again.

Expected behavior

f.ex. after unloading ABS and selecting then loading new filament printer should ask again if user would like to load PLA or ABS.

Actual behavior

f.ex. after unloading ABS and selecting then loading new filament printer is loading filament with previous temperature setpoint without possibility to adjust

Steps to Reproduce

1. select menu Change filament
2. select option unload filament (or change filament)
3. select material (f.ex. ABS)
4. perform action as guided by printer
5. select menu change filament
6. select option load filament (or change filament)
7. ...

If you want to use a different filament type after a filament change; that is something that should be handled in your slicer, not the printer firmware.

In either case, you used a bug-report to request a feature....this is obviously not a software bug, as nothing malfunctioned.

I'm talking about way of work of existing feature, available in marlin menu: changing a filament, particular BEFORE printing, not during a print.
just to be well understood: when i'm finishing printing of ABS print, and would like to perform next print in PLA, i should be able to unload ABS filament with 240 (or whatever) C degree nozzle temp and then, using another option from this menu (which is already there) load PLA filament with 190 C nozzle temp.
While in current setup, the 240 is being kept all the time..
that is why in my opinion it is a bug.

This is a feature request, not a bug.

There are 3 options in change filament menu (change, unload and load).
after selecting any of them for the first time after turning on printer one is getting the following options:
preheat PLA, ABS and Custom
and and after selecting any printer is proceeding as it should.

but when action is completed and one is selecting any of those options (Change, load or unload) again, printer is not asking for selecting one of those temperature options again. apparently it is using temperatures selected during first run, without possibility to change.
The change is possible only after turnoff printer or manually adjust nozzle temperature below safe temp and then proceeding with filament change
again.

that is why in my opinion it is a bug (from expectance and logical point of view), while in your view, as there was no code for resetting those settings it is classified as new feature? right?

If you selected “Change Filament” and it did not change the filament, menu or process hung, etc., that would be a bug.

You are asking to extend an existing / working feature for filament type / temperature input on the loading half of manual filament changes, so it’s a feature request.

Note: You should always change filament at the higher temperature of the two materials you are using. Example: If you unloaded polycarbonate and wanted to load PLA, you still need to purge out the remaining PC at PC temps or it may not purge correctly when loading PLA.

Don't worry about this idea being forgotten. It's a good one. Someone will jump on it inevitably!
