[BUG] SD Card not working for RepRapDiscount Smart Controller on Re-ARM RAMPS board #28425

Description

@leonardojc90

Did you test the latest bugfix-2.1.x code?

Yes, and the problem still exists.

Bug Description

I have replaced my Arduino Mega on a RAMPS setup with a Re-ARM board and re-soldered the EXP1 screen cable as described on this comment on issue #11927, testing continuity on all the wires

The screen works properly after that, and the LCD SD card is even detected, but trying to access its contents or sending a M21 GCode command fails. Switching to the onboard SD card reader (#define SDCARD_CONNECTION ONBOARD) works properly, but it's inconvenient for my printer build (The board stays inside an enclosure)
