Posibility to Extend with custom characters?

Extend would be great to catch UI bugs on longer languages. However the output is an extend using whitespace and HTML seems to trim those whitespaces.

An easy fix would be to add an option to use custom characters for the extend?

Yeah, faced the same issue, so would be great to have an option to set another character, not just space!
