Discord RPC button not shown

Did discord remove buttons from RPC, or something has changed in the API? The RPC docs page say it's in closed beta (??) no idea what happened. They changed the user UI a bit though.

This is actually something different to the normal RPC you see any application use.

But to answer what is going on Discord seems to be phasing out buttons for normal activities and only wants to keep them for games one can only assume to prevent people from linking to scams/shops in a fake activity.

You should be able to see them if you open a second Discord client (e.g. in the browser) with a different user account. This appears to be a long-time Discord bug (still not fixed!)

@ungive this is an old issue so my reply is very outdated you can more so see my current stance here on a newer PR #488 (comment)

IIRC it follows the same thing as you said with not being able to see it on your own account.
