Initial full import?

Hi, when using log-based replication - is there an option or correct way of performing the initial complete import?

When I have the replication method set and start it with meltano run/el, with new state-id/-suffix or --full-refresh -
It seems to still wait for change logs and not sync the existing data.

What's the correct way of performing the initial sync in your opinion?
(At least for now. noticed this was mentioned in one of the open issues.)
