Portable Settings

Hi! When I first started, it already had all my old settings from the original author's midiEditor. Meaning it's not really portable, it's using the registry or something to get settings. Ideally it's all self-contained.

The portable download isn't really meant to be a "real" portable version. It just exists so you can unzip the folder and run MidiEditor from anywhere without having to install the program or any dependencies. Or be able to quickly update versions by drag & drop replacing all files in the folder at once.

If you need to backup your settings, you can export the registry folder at HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\MidiEditor

I'm not quite sure how viable it would be to make a true portable version as it would require significant refactoring across the board. Every customizable setting and option would need to be saved into a portable database (sqlite, litedb) or flatfile (yml, json) and conditionally load from it instead of the registry, if it exists. Plus allowing migration from registry to local and if the installer is used, not worrying about those settings being lost on uninstall/reinstall. Quite a bit touches the registry so a lot of things would need to be rewritten.

Can leave this ticket up as a possibility way down the road, but no promises.
