[Bug]: New tab is open every time a user clicks on the iab icon

Description: Everytime I click on the number of tabs in the top right corner, it opens a new tab. Should it not just open the latest active page?

if no browser page is open, user clicks on "+" icon and a new page opens
If user has some tabs open, open the last tab

Otherwise we should open the browser without opening a new tab.

Summary

I fixed the bug where clicking the browser tab icon in the Explore page always opened a new tab, even when tabs already existed.

Root Cause

The handleBrowserPress function in TrendingView.tsx was unconditionally passing newTabUrl params when navigating to the browser, which caused a new tab to be created every time.

Fix Applied

Modified the handleBrowserPress function to conditionally navigate:

• If no tabs exist (browserTabsCount === 0): Opens a new tab with the portfolio URL (original behavior)
• If tabs already exist (browserTabsCount > 0): Opens the browser without newTabUrl params, showing the last active tab

Changes Made

1. app/components/Views/TrendingView/TrendingView.tsx: Updated handleBrowserPress callback to check browserTabsCount and only pass newTabUrl params when no tabs exist

2. app/components/Views/TrendingView/TrendingView.test.tsx: Updated the navigation test to cover both scenarios:

   • opens new tab with portfolio URL when no tabs exist
   • opens browser without creating new tab when tabs already exist

All 10 tests pass ✅
