Support for Windows on ARM64

Currently for Windows there is only the x64 version. Although the x64 build can run on ARM64 devices via emulation, adding native ARM64 build would be fantastic.

Just commenting here for visibility that I am also interested in a ARM compiled version of Miktex. Has anyone tried this so far on Windows (or linux under WSL2?)

I’m part of the Windows Application Ecosystem and Open-Source Development team at Qualcomm. We’re currently working to expand support for applications on Windows on Snapdragon (WoS) platforms by providing native ARM64 support.

I’ve worked on enabling a native Windows ARM64 build of MiKTeX for Windows on Snapdragon devices, using MSVC and CMake. The goal is to achieve functional parity with the existing x64 build while significantly improving performance compared to running MiKTeX under x64 emulation on ARM64.
