Sort the keys stored in session and local storage

The keys listed for "Local Storage" and "Session Storage" in the "Application"-tab currently appear to be pretty much unsorted.

This makes it rather difficult to find particular values when working on a feature on a website that stores a lot of values. If the keys were sorted naturally (alphabetical, but numbers should be treated as numbers), it would be a lot quicker to find things.

Thanks for the feature request. And I also just realized that the columns aren't sortable.
Would adding a way to sort the tables by columns address your issue?

That would of course be an option, but not sure why anyone would want them to not be sorted. Based on my usage I also don't see how sorting by value would be super useful, but maybe some would, I don't know.

Either way, as long as "sorted by key" is the default, and whatever "sort choice" is chosen is persisted (so I don't have to click that column header every time), I don't really care. I just want the list of values to not be random, like they are now. 🙃👍

That makes sense, thanks for confirming. I filed an upstream issue to track this: https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=1383054 since this would benefit all users of Chromium-based browser devtools.
