[Problem/Bug]: WebView applications like teams and outlook not working with latest webview version 131.0.2903.112 on ARM

What happened?

After the latest windows update with webview 131.0.2903.112
Teams, Outlook and other webview based applications stopped working with error "ERROR: CreateCoreWebview2environmentwithoptions failed. hr=-2147024894"

Importance

Blocking. My app's basic functions are not working due to this issue.

AFter latest update from MS, restart the machine. Webview2 version 131.0.2903.112 and applications stopped working

Thanks for reporting the issue. This could be due to error in updating WebView2 Runtime. Can you try reinstalling the runtime manually from the installation site.

Hi, experience also this bug on an ARM Surface. Tried all troubleshooting steps like repair/uninstall. Install WebView2 Runtime etc.
Also an issue with GlobalProtect from PaloAlto. Temp resolved with using this Teams version and this GP version:

At our end we have tried to uninstall/install again manually.
After that when opening teams/outlook it again says : "Please install webview"
on clicking install,  we get the message : "It is aleady installed"
.
After downgrading to : 131.0.2903.99 , which was already present in the machine in the folder :
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft\EdgeWebView\Application"
It has now started working,

confirming the problem with version : 131.0.2903.112

Can you kindly share the installer logs - instructions to collect is mentioned here?

Can you also try to run the installer from admin prompt and check if that fixes the issue?

Can you please update on this issue, as this is blocker on ARM machines and even Teams, outlook is not working.

The log shows the error happened because the installer was not running elevated. Can you kindly try running the installer as administrator.

We did validated and reinstalled with elevated privileges
We see that problem still remain the same

Please update further, this is blocker and unable to use surface pro machines with ARM

Logs indicate WebView2 installation is successful. Does the issue still persist? If so, does sample app work?
