Description
I have a boinc system that runs Einstein at home just fine on my vega56, so I'm fairly confident the base system works. But the milkyway@home client strangly fails to find the device:
./milkyway_1.46_x86_64-pc-linux-gnu__opencl_ati_101 -l 0 -d 0 --verbose -g
22:52:54 (3499): Can't open init data file - running in standalone mode
<search_application> milkyway_separation 1.46 Linux x86_64 double OpenCL </search_application>
Guessing preferred OpenCL vendor 'Advanced Micro Devices, Inc.'

but clinfo run (as the boinc user, so I don't think it's a permissions error) seems to work just fine:

The machine is running ubuntu 19.04 with amd's official rocm 2.7 packages installed for both opencl and hsa. Again, einstein runs just fine on the same machine. Happy to do simple debugging if it'll help.
