What to build

The flagship axis. Ramp robot count (real stacks plus synthetic senders together) against the aggregating Shipper using the ramp controller and saturation probe over the two-tier topology, reporting through the curve reporter. Assert zero loss via the existing verifier at every sustainable load level — a throughput figure obtained from a configuration that was dropping Records must never be reported. Emit the PRD's required closing sentence: one aggregating Shipper sustains N robots at M Records per second before applying backpressure, measured with X real stacks and Y synthetic senders, extrapolated beyond Z. Then prove the instrument itself: run the same ramp against a deliberately resource-constrained aggregating Shipper and show it reports a materially lower ceiling than the unconstrained run — a limits harness that cannot demonstrate detecting an induced limit has not been shown to work.

Acceptance criteria

  • The limits scenario is a sibling of the existing scenarios (own topology, own gates), not a mode bolted onto the zero-loss run.
  • Running unconstrained produces a robots-per-Shipper figure at a stated Record rate, with real/synthetic composition and measured-vs-extrapolated status stated.
  • Zero loss is asserted via the existing verifier at every sustainable load level during the ramp; the run fails loudly — never silently skips — if verification cannot run.
  • Running against a deliberately constrained aggregating Shipper reports a ceiling substantially lower than the unconstrained run, proving the harness detects an induced limit.
  • The run produces the single defensible closing sentence the PRD requires, with its stated conditions attached.
