The 1515 extrusion version by CabbageCorp can be found here.

Monolith Panels render

What's this?

Overcomplicated panels.

Repository contents

  • CAD - CAD files and assembly reference.
  • STLs - Printable STL files.
  • BOM - Variant BOM CSVs.
  • Images - Render gallery.
  • UserMods - User mods and community additions.

Use

  • The CAD contains everything needed for V2/VT 250/300/350mm with BOM-thickness panels (3mm), and is also a good assembly guide.
  • Parts will load in the correct orientation when exported.
  • The vertical printed part length is based on theoretical Z travel, not bed size. Pick the vertical part length based on your machine's Z travel. Tridents usually have 250mm Z regardless of bed size, except the cubed kits.
  • The panel system is intended to be used with another layer of 3mm foam tape, or with 5mm foam tape paired with 4mm panels. Monolith Gantry stepper protrusion is 4mm.
  • The corners can be used without the straights, but your mileage may vary if you do not put VHB on them.
  • When used as a panel frame, you can get away with putting VHB only in the middle.
  • Clips are fairly sensitive to EM/PA, but can be scaled to fit the other plastic parts. They are not sensitive to aluminum extrusion tolerances.
  • Recommended shrinkage compensation for ABS parts is 99.3-99.5%. Test this before committing to large prints, because shrinkage can add up to 3-4mm in total.
  • Feel free to remix the parts for different setups.
