dozer homebrew formulae disabled upstream, why?

Hi there,

I recently attempted to install dozer using the command:

brew install --cask dozer

But I encountered the following error:

==> Downloading https://formulae.brew.sh/api/cask.jws.json

Error: Cask 'dozer' has been disabled because it is discontinued upstream! It was disabled on 2024-12-01.

I noticed that the formulae has been marked as disabled. Could you please provide more details on the current status of dozer and whether there are any plans to update or maintain it in the future?

It was marked as discontinued in 2023 because @Mortennn went MIA here: #178

Last week it was disabled permanently.

The mentioned fork doesn't seem maintained either.

I'd be interested in picking this up. Going to try and get it working locally first.

It seems to work fine, you can download the app directly from releases.

@z3t0 I'm not familiar with development on OSX. Any thoughts to moving the app to a different language to (potentially) attract more contributors?

It can work in limited mode without those permissions.

Ice worked for me too. great app.
