Hello, I am trying to assimilate SMAP soil moisture data into LIS. The LSM I am using is Noah-MP. What should be the perturbation standard deviations for LSM soil moisture layers?

As per Kumar et. al., 2014 (https://journals.ametsoc.org/view/journals/hydr/10/6/2009jhm1134_1.xml) the perturbations are as follows for Noah LSM:
Many other papers have also used this configuration for soil moisture DA in case of Noah-MP (for example, Yin et. al, 2023; https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0022169423005383#b0120) but the soil moisture data products are different there (ASCAT, ESA-CCI, etc.). Whereas in SMAP DA papers, the values of the perturbation standard deviation for LSM are different in different papers. Kindly suggest a proper configuration for Noah-MP LSM soil moisture state variable perturbations. Whether the perturbations specified in Kumar et. al., (2014) are fixed for Noah-MP or vary depending on the soil moisture data product to be assimilated or any other factor?
