The UWG Summit is happening at Goddard Aug 17-20, 2026. Details on the Wiki (requires Earthdata Login)

NASA Openscapes is hosting an earthaccess hackday, and ESDIS is able to support travel with DAAC Manager approval. Mentors, please reply here or Slack the Mentors Channel if you're able to come! Mentors confirmed so far: Michele, Ian, Danny.

As we plan, we can reuse a lot of the planning/setup from the ESIP Monday hackday).

• Next step: create an events page on nasa-openscapes.github.io like this one https://nasa-openscapes.github.io/news/2026-07-27-esip-hackday/. Since this is a NASA audience and since we have more planning infrastructure to reuse, let's put all the content there rather than also on openscapes.org.

@ronnyhdez, would you please make this page after we meet about it next Tuesday June 30? This will include making the accompanying "Ideas Doc" and Coordinating sheet. cc: @stefaniebutland

Hi all, now that we've completed the Hackday at ESIP, we can refine the plan and agenda for the UWG Summit Hackday.

I've started updating the UWG Hackday agenda. We have 2.5 hours before lunch (not dissimilar to the ESIP hackday) and then 2 more hours after lunch.

Right now this is for awareness for @asteiker @ronnyhdez @stefaniebutland so you all can work on it more next week. I'll give it some more work this week before handoff, and then can pick up again Monday Aug 17.
