I have checked for Kubuntu and it should work for Ubuntu and Linux Mint as well. However, it is not confirmed, everyone is welcome to download the script, run and test if it works in their OS or not, and then report here.

I have checked for elementary os freya and should work for Ubuntu 14.04 too.

Cli ProxyHelper works on arch. if-up.d doesn't exists though, plug the auto-start script yourself.
