Have anyone try this ‘User defined’ output parameter?

Dear WW3 community,
Recently, I encountered an issue while using WW3. I need to output the integrated value of the wave-bottom term (Sbot), noticed that WW3 allows for custom output parameters, and I would like to know how to output the integrated value of the Sbot source term as a parameter. This way, I could easily use ww3_ounf to output the integral of the Sbot term for the entire field.

I tried to debug it but couldn't find any solution yet. Can someone help to understand what is this error about?

Hi @zhemu26 unfortunately it's hard to say what your error is. To add additional output variables, I'd recommend finding a variable that's similar to what you want and use that as a template to add a new variable.

I use ww3-6.07.1 verison.I have modified the w3iogomd.ftn file by editing the w3outg subroutine to calculate the wave breaking source term energy, and I successfully compiled it. However, during the execution of ww3_multi, I encountered some issues, such as the output file being stuck at a specific point

or other locations. I tried to avoid calculating the U1 parameter in the ww3_multi.inp file, and the program ran without issues. Even when I use the original WW3 code (without any modifications to w3outg), I still encounter similar issues when trying to request U1 (sometimes it runs successfully, but the output of U1 is all NaN). This is very frustrating
