Supported databases

Does Stigman support other databases like MariaDB or SQL?
Has anyone had success in using one?

Hi @jace5869 No, only MySQL 8.0.24+ is supported at this time.

I've been running it in mysql 9.3, but is there any push to get it working with MariaDB for instance? We have an enterprise license for that.

Hi @jace5869 There has been no push to work with MariaDB. In theory it should be quite compatible with our MySQL queries, but there are issues with their default and built-in collations that prevent it from being directly compatible with our MySQL implementation.

Also, please note that our automated workflows only test against the latest couple versions of 8.0.x and 8.4.x (and 8.0.24 to monitor support for legacy deployments). I believe the 9.x track are still considered "Innovation" Releases that may have breaking changes. 8.4.x are their "Current" supported releases.
