Template Marketplace Test Coverage Improvements

Summary

Added comprehensive test coverage for the template marketplace feature, covering discovery, publishing, installation, and metadata handling workflows.

Test Files Added

1. tests/template_marketplace_comprehensive.rs

Comprehensive unit tests covering all aspects of template marketplace functionality.

Test Categories:

Discovery Tests (6 tests)

  • ✅ test_search_by_exact_name_match() - Exact template name matching
  • ✅ test_search_by_tag_filtering() - Single tag filtering
  • ✅ test_search_by_multiple_tags() - Multi-tag filtering (AND logic)
  • ✅ test_search_verified_only_filter() - Verified-only filtering
  • ✅ test_search_quality_score_filtering() - Quality score threshold filtering
  • ✅ test_search_empty_query_lists_all() - Empty query returns all templates

Metadata Validation Tests (5 tests)

  • ✅ test_validate_required_metadata_fields() - Required fields present
  • ✅ test_reject_template_with_missing_name() - Reject empty name
  • ✅ test_reject_template_with_invalid_version() - Reject invalid semver
  • ✅ test_validate_template_tags() - Tags validation (non-empty, lowercase)
  • ✅ test_validate_maintenance_status() - Maintenance status labels

Quality Score Tests (5 tests)

  • ✅ test_quality_score_verified_bonus() - Verified templates score higher (+40)
  • ✅ test_quality_score_documented_bonus() - Documented templates score higher (+20)
  • ✅ test_quality_score_maintenance_status() - Maintenance status affects score
  • ✅ test_quality_score_capped_at_100() - Score never exceeds 100

Template Source Handling Tests (4 tests)

  • ✅ test_git_source_with_branch() - Git source with branch
  • ✅ test_git_source_without_branch() - Git source without branch
  • ✅ test_local_source() - Local path source
  • ✅ test_builtin_source() - Built-in template source

Placeholder Substitution Tests (4 tests)

  • ✅ test_placeholder_project_name() - {{PROJECT_NAME}} substitution

Installation Flow Tests (2 tests)

  • ✅ test_installation_steps_order() - Installation steps in correct order
  • ✅ test_download_count_increment() - Download count tracking

Edge Case Tests (6 tests)

  • ✅ test_search_with_special_characters_in_query() - Special characters in search
  • ✅ test_search_case_insensitive() - Case-insensitive search
  • ✅ test_empty_tags_list() - Templates with no tags
  • ✅ test_very_long_description() - Very long descriptions (1000+ chars)
  • ✅ test_zero_downloads() - New templates with zero downloads
  • ✅ test_very_high_download_count() - Very high download counts (u32::MAX)

Total: 32 comprehensive unit tests

2. tests/template_marketplace_workflows.rs

Integration tests for complete marketplace workflows.

Publish Workflow Tests (5 tests)

  • ✅ test_publish_template_with_empty_name_fails() - Reject empty name
  • ✅ test_publish_template_with_empty_version_fails() - Reject empty version

  • ✅ test_search_no_results() - Empty results for non-matching query
  • ✅ test_search_multiple_results() - Multiple results for broad query

Install Workflow Tests (3 tests)

  • ✅ test_get_template_for_installation() - Retrieve template for installation
  • ✅ test_get_nonexistent_template_fails() - Fail gracefully for missing template
  • ✅ test_increment_download_count_on_install() - Track downloads on installation

Complete Workflow Tests (2 tests)

  • ✅ test_publish_search_install_workflow() - End-to-end: publish → search → install
  • ✅ test_multiple_templates_workflow() - Multiple templates with different tags

Removal Workflow Tests (3 tests)

  • ✅ test_remove_template() - Remove existing template
  • ✅ test_remove_nonexistent_template_fails() - Fail gracefully for missing template
  • ✅ test_remove_and_republish() - Remove and republish with new version

Error Recovery Tests (2 tests)

  • ✅ test_invalid_metadata_prevents_publication() - Invalid metadata blocks publication
  • ✅ test_registry_consistency_after_failed_operations() - Registry stays consistent after errors
