Given the laboratory name change, we have been advised to apply the new name to new releases of products. We are planning to transition the pypi and conda package name to nlr-pysam for the next major version, likely in May.
We intend to release one more major version of nrel-pysam that includes nlr-pysam as a dependency to ease this transition for users, as per https://peps.python.org/pep-0423/#how-to-rename-a-project
(note there might be a minor version of nrel-pysam to deal with nrel.gov to nlr.gov API migrations before this issue is resolved.
