Arjun is a third-year undergraduate student majoring in Neuroscience. This year he will be doing an independent research study under the supervision of Dr. Aaron Newman. This study aims to determine whether kids from grades 3-5 can recognize prosodic boundaries like commas using EEG. Apart from school Arjun enjoys going to the gym and working on some type of machinery.

Emily is a third-year undergraduate student majoring in Neuroscience, minoring in Business, and doing a certificate in Neurotechnology and Innovation. This year she will be doing an independent research study under the supervision of Dr. Aaron Newman. This study aims to determine how EEG activity changes during second language learning and, in particular, examining how EEG measures are related to how well people are able to learn new vocabulary. Outside of studying, Emily loves walking her dog, crocheting, and drinking matcha.

Emily is a fourth-year undergraduate student majoring in Neuroscience, minoring in Business, and doing a certificate in Neurotechnology and Innovation. She is completing her honours research under the supervision of Dr. Aaron Newman as part of the ComChERP study. This project examines how neural markers associated with processing prosodic boundaries, such as commas, relate to reading comprehension in children from grades 3 to 5. Last year, she conducted an independent project with the LANGA team examining neural markers involved in second language acquisition. Outside of academics, Emily enjoys walking her dog, reading, and drinking matcha.
