Add functionality to overlay data on to 3D visualisations

This can already be done for 2D morphology plots, so doing something similar for 3D visualisations should not be too hard either.

These are the steps I would follow :-

Select a 3D Visualization Tool:

Tools like Three.js, CesiumJS are great for creating 3D visualizations.

Prepare the Data:

Gather and format the data you want to overlay. Ensure it’s in a compatible format (e.g., JSON).

Clean and preprocess the data to ensure accuracy and ease of integration.

Load the 3D Model:

Import or create your 3D model in the chosen visualization tool. This could be a terrain, a building, or any other 3D object relevant to your data.

Add Data Overlay:

Overlay your data onto the 3D model. This might involve adding markers, lines, or other graphical elements that represent your data.

Hi @Ravish990 , thanks for your interest. We already have a Vispy based viewer, so the task here is to further enhance that to include data overlays. Also, while this is somewhat a general task, one would need to know a little bit about NeuroML, the data model, and how to use it.

Have you had a chance to go through the documentation yet to get an idea/overview of NeuroML and the software ecosystem yet? I'd do that first before diving into tasks:
