Add Settings/Preference #75

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
Add settings/preference, that can be saved between sessions. I would like to save for example what my project folder is and open the file browser there on startup.
Other settings to save could be preferences like a default author or default settings for the load options.
Describe the solution you'd like
Save settings/preferences in a file(location depends on installation method and/or operating system).
Additional context
This issue is just for adding a mechanism to save settings. Actual settings may be added through sub-issues.
Settings will not be saved for the portable version.
