Hi, thank you so much for the new great update !! 💯 🥇

Today i find this suggestion proposed by another user in the issues of another download manager, and i think it is good idea, so i share his idea and we hope please this new great tool will be supported by Paraboloic please if it is not too complicated, thanks ! :

Background & Problem:
The upstream aria2 development has slowed down significantly, leaving behind many unaddressed bugs and broken builds on modern platforms. This poses long-term stability and compatibility risks for media-downloader.

Proposal:
I suggest supporting or migrating the downloading backend to aria2-next

https://github.com/AnInsomniacy/motrix-next-extension

According to its documentation, aria2-next is an actively maintained fork that serves as a perfect drop-in replacement:

100% Compatible: It perfectly preserves aria2-style CLI options, configuration formats, session conventions, and JSON-RPC methods/response shapes. No code rewrite should be required for existing integrations.
Actively Maintained: Maintained since 2026 with a modernized CMake/Ninja build system, current dependency baselines, and native ED2K support.
Extensive Bug Fixes: The team has already triaged and verified fixes for dozens of upstream legacy bugs (over 137 reviewed issues).
Since its RPC and CLI interfaces are fully compatible, integrating or switching to it would future-proof the download components of this project with minimal effort.
