"edit" Statuses doesn't work with GoToSocial

The Edit feature doesn't work with GotoSocial bases instances. There is no option to Edit a Status. But with a Mastodon based account, its showing up:

GoToSocial support the edit feature since version 0.18

Feature recognition are based on the Mastodon version, that why other software like Pleroma provides both (2.7.2 (compatible; Pleroma 2.6.2)).

So this is a GoToSocial issue, and it would be better for them to change their versioning pattern so that it becomes compatible with every clients out there.

I encountered the same issue, but just for future reference: GoToSocial actually supports providing a fallback Mastodon version number.
If you enable it, editing does work in Sengi.

This is the relevant configuration option:

# Bool. This flag will inject a Mastodon version into the version field that
# is included in /api/v1/instance. This version is often used by Mastodon clients
# to do API feature detection. By injecting a Mastodon compatible version, it is
# possible to cajole those clients to behave correctly with GoToSocial.

It is set to 'false' by default. Setting it to 'true' fixes this issue.

this is enabled for my instance but it still doesn't work :(
