Sorry, but how do you even patch the game?

GitHub repositories always have been a pain for me. I dont understand where do i click, what do i download and how to make it work. Can anyone please help me?

Sure thing, this directory is a little trickier than others since instead of having each translation version as a release it has all of them as folders and github makes it a bit rough to download those individually on a browser; what you want is the 01.525 BETA folder which contain part files for a zip, unzip the first with something like 7-zip while all 29 are on the same folder to get a thmj4n.p file and then copy paste that to 4N's game directory, replacing the one already there

Oh hello !!! I did not expect someone would post here after all this time haha
So basically I'm not used to Github at all and like Lethimr said I just put all the versions as zip folders, I might try to do it better someday (as I still planned to add more stuff into the game later)

However, WARNING : My patch only modifies the thmj4n.p file (the data files basically) but it still requires an updated game. The problem is that the auto-update no longer works so you have to find and install the Manual-Update for the Japanese version before installing my patch. Or else it will randomly crash.

Found it ! this is the official page so no worries, download the update, put it inside the game folder and it should be straight-forward (I've not done it in a long time haha)
