User: Tabernis - Claims to have decrypted the jsons.

Hey all,

This is taken from "Tabernis - Encryption breakthrough" & "Tabernis#**** - Claims to have decrypted the jsons." of the discord server. I'm creating this to record the information, and any relevant/notable events.

Unfortunately, he/she did not provide any further details (he/she essentially stated that this was a lot of work for little/no compensation)

His/her comments that I deemed relevant:

• Encryption key: H9l1Gap6v8RAWxWwjm3B6A
• "I have some 256gb dictionaries, with more than 16,000,000,000 passwords"
• Claimed that, "Subway surfers owners have their own encryption method"
• Claimed, "Boards.json and characters-hunt.json I have decrypted them via hat.sh using a brute force dictionary, with a Subway surfers-friendly version of hat.sh"

My thoughts:

• While the encryption key is unproven to be correct/working, it still requires an initialisation vector (assuming it's an AES key)
• It would be nice to know where he got those brute-force dictionaries from. Shouldn't be too difficult to acquire.
• It's very unlikely that a mobile developer would come up with an entirely new method of encryption, as most mobile CPUs require hardware acceleration in order to encrypt and decrypt information quickly. Unless proven otherwise, AES-256 continues to be the current encryption method used.
• Hat.sh is a site where users can encrypt and decrypt various files either using a password or a key-pair (public and private key). I'm not sure about what Tabernis's fork of the repository is located, as he/she never shared it either in the server or in the threads.
