Category 2: variables that may be found in other components but are useful when analysing the atm and also good check for F compset simulations with DOCN.
ICEFRAC(HadISST) Good if it can be updated beyond 1982-2001
ICEFRAC HadISST (Pre-Indust) 1870-1900
SST(HadISST) Good if it can be updated beyond 1982-2001
SST HadISST (Pre-Indust) 1870-1900
Surface wind stress (ERS or NCEP or Large-Yeager?)
Category 3: observation in addition to renanysis
Category 4: Retrieval instead of re-analysis
