I noticed that with nPM1300, if no ADC measurement has ever been done since power up, the ADCIBATMEASSTATUS register is completely zero and the npmx_adc_ibat_meas_status_get function returns NPMX_ERROR_INVALID_MEAS
If this is intended behavior, perhaps the error code should be documented in the header file for this function
