Trouble with XMLRPC socket

I'm having trouble understanding how rtorrent, rutorrent and nginx work together.

I installed rtorrent. This is this is the RPC related part in /home/user/rtorrent/rtorrent0/rtorrent.rc:

which results in the socket at /home/user/rtorrent/rtorrent0/.session/rpc.socket:

I then installed nginx. This is /etc/nginx/sites-available/rutorrent0.conf. The /RPC0 part is according to the documentation:

I then installed rutorrent at /var/www/rutorrent0:

Yet when I open the Web UI it isn't able to talk to rtorrent.

[01.11.2022 12:59:59] No connection to rTorrent. Check if it is really running. Check $scgi_port and $scgi_host settings in config.php and scgi_port in rTorrent configuration file.

I suspected a permission issue but even after 777ing everything it didn't work.

It works now I presume I was missing a php dependency.
