why would i save to same location? that doesnt make sense the behavior im describing is when you have a file set that is mis-located. like you dump a torrent into the autoload directory but the fileset is not in the default download directory rtorrent thinks its in "target" directory (/path/to/default/download) the torrent loads in paused state and rtorrent wants it in /path/to/default/download when you select "save to" to /path/to/actual/fileset, it overwrites the actual fileset with zero byte files (despite no fileset ever existing in /path/to/default/download) if you uncheck the default "move data files" it works and doesnt overwrite the fileset and yes ive tested this... by accidentally overwriting files many times |

considering the default is destructive and can write zero data over existing target filesets, i would prefer this to be disabled
