Implement "adknowledgement" protocol for the firmware #11
Description
This is something that Jasmine's code can "wait" for, to ensure that the command was actually received and processed as valid. This could be a flag that is sent in a status message one time after a valid message is received, or a byte sent immediately. Whatever is easier for Jasmine.
If the ACK is not received, then her GUI should throw an error (indicating bad communication of some sort).
