Agenda:

• How to add an Agenda item to the Marketing call?
  • These notes are open for editing
  • Mentioning in the #marketing channel is a good way to get the conversation started.
• ASC Marketing
  • ASC - Save the Date announcement for Twitter and Linked In
  • Figuring out the Newsletter for the CFP end of March-ish
  • A lot of conversation is happening in a private channel.
    • We should figure out the balance between private and public communication.
    • Someone from the Marketing group should perhaps get involved to have a better flow of communication.
• GlueCon
  • Goals (proposed)
    • Acquire more voices and engagement in the TDC.
    • Stir membership interest
    • Increase SIG participation
    • Find companies or individuals willing to co-promote with blog posts, interviews, video content, etc.
    • Proposal: Increase participation, measured by attendance at open community meetings.
    • Proposal: Invite member companies to come talk about the tools they're using with OpenAPI.
    • Proposal: Thumb drive or QR code for tooling, container with tools

  • Giveaways?
    • Do we collect contact information? To what end? Newsletter signups?
    • Need to follow-up with Emily on what's meant, exactly, by a giveaway. Raffle-style? Freebies at the booth?
    • Previously, there was a Twitter-based raffle. After gathering people who tweeted with a hashtag, folks were picked for prizes.
    • No drones. Not high value for OAI.
    • Postcard in the swag bag might be okay. Having something that someone might wanna put on a desk might be better.
