Start and stop recording Branch Output, when I start recording to mp4, not streaming...

Hello,

I'm recording a tutorial for my software, and I'm using OBS Studio to combine webcam and desktop recordings. This is working quite well, however, since I want to translate my videos and possibly add an AI filter later, I need to record the screen recording and webcam separately, ideally synchronously.

That's why I came across Branch Output, but I can only record continuously or not at all. Yes, I can pause the video, but that's so cumbersome. So I asked ChatGPT and others, and they suggested I could solve it with Lua, but unfortunately, I haven't had any success so far.

Can anyone tell me how I can start the filter recording in Branch Output simultaneously with the video recording?

This is my code so far, but not working?

When I click on the checkbox "Stream recording" the output starts, but I cannot control it (yes pause manually), when the checkbox is deactvated, then I cannot connect anymore to Branch Output?

I apologize if I misunderstood what you wanted to do. You can use the interlock feature to start or stop Branch Output in sync with your OBS Studio recording. Open the Branch Output Status Dock and change the interlock combo box in the bottom-right corner. Selecting Recording or Streaming or Recording will synchronize Branch Output with your OBS Studio recording.
