Your Environment

• Platform [PC desktop, Mac, iOS, Office on the web]: PC desktop
• Host [Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.]: Outlook
• Office version number: Microsoft® Outlook® for Microsoft 365 MSO (Version 2306 Build 16.0.16529.20164) 64-bit
• Operating System: Windows
• Browser (if using Office on the web): -

Expected behavior

On-send event timeout should be equal to 5 minutes for all platforms as it is stated in documentation.

Current behavior

For Outlook Desktop the real on-send event timeout value is around 4 minutes and 30-40 seconds.

Steps to reproduce

On Outlook Desktop, using the on-send addin, monitor the on-send event availability for 5 minutes.

Thanks for reporting this issue regarding On-send event timeout is less than it should be on Outlook Desktop. It has been put on our backlog. We unfortunately have no timelines to share at this point.

@Suntechnick We have looked at the issue and the timeout is between 4 minutes and 5 minutes depending on platform. Is there any business impact regarding the difference of the timeout?
