Thanks for the suggestion, we’d like to nail down the intent before changing behavior.

Hover / directory tree
We already dim the row under the cursor and show a tooltip. For many items the tooltip only repeats the filename, which isn’t very helpful. When you ask for “hover effects,” do you mean:

• stronger visual feedback on the row (e.g. clearer highlight, icon emphasis),
• more useful hover content (e.g. full path, size, last modified),
• or something else (animations, expand-on-hover, etc.)?

Focus / current file
When you say “focus to file icons and the current file,” do you mean:

• highlight the file that’s currently open in the editor in the tree (like many IDEs),
• keyboard focus (tab into the tree, arrow keys, visible focus ring),
• both,
• or mainly clearer hover/active styling on the icon?
  A short note on which of these matches what you want (and your OS if layout differs) would help us implement the right thing.

• I might have misread it before, but this feature is now very well developed. Thank you!

• highlight the file that’s currently open in the editor in the tree (like many IDEs),
• keyboard focus (tab into the tree, arrow keys, visible focus ring),
• When clicking on an opened file page, the corresponding line in the tree view can be synchronized and highlighted.

Thanks for the detail. Hover: noted, glad it’s working. For v0.3.1 we’ll implement: (1) highlight the open file in the tree, (2) keyboard focus in the tree with a visible ring, (3) selecting a tab reveals and highlights the matching tree row. That matches your list.
