Repository sync stuck at 93% (15/16)

It's been more than 3 hours and 50 minutes and the repo sync command is stuck on 15/16.
kernelplatform/prebuilts-master/clang/host/linux-x86 @ kernel_platform/prebuilts/clang/host/linux-x86

while noticing a huge storage usage and been increasing since this command running on the background with rate of 1gb/10minutes.

The command used repo sync -fc -j4 --prune --no-repo-verify, the manifest used is sm8550 / oneplus_11_v.xml (OOS 15.0.0)

is it because it's downloading the full history of the repo ?

i tried to cancel the repo sync command and manually finish the rest of it after it preceded the 15/16 repo on the base directory i want to compile Kernel on, by this command:
git clone --depth=1 --branch ks-kernel.lnx.2.0.r1-rel https://git.codelinaro.org/clo/la/kernelplatform/prebuilts-master/clang/host/linux-x86.git kernel_platform/prebuilts/clang/host/linux-x86 cd kernel_platform/prebuilts/clang/host/linux-x86 git checkout c420e3ab93e51a2f2ab4f8e8b517463c34a7e8bd cd -
Now I'm attempting to compile and it's going through, will inform here if it works just fine.

Okay, so it seems the compilation is successful, might consider to add specific parameter for the kernelplatform/prebuilts-master/clang/host/linux-x86 git by setting the --depth=1 since the size of the whole repository is 40gb>, forcing the user to download all the repo just to checkout c420e3ab93e51a2f2ab4f8e8b517463c34a7e8bd.

We evaluated this option, but ultimately decided against modifying Qualcomm's manifest, as applying the --clone-depth=1 parameter would restrict users from accessing the complete repository history. We leave the choice up to users.
