OCCT 8.0 Release Schedule Update

We are adjusting the release timeline for OCCT 8.0 — the official release is now planned for May 2026.

What's happening?

OCCT 8.0 is a major milestone that includes a substantial amount of new functionality, performance optimizations, and reorganization of legacy code. We want to ensure the release meets the quality expectations of the community, so we are taking the extra time needed to finalize and thoroughly test these changes.

Release Candidates

We are publishing regular Release Candidates so the community can test and provide early feedback:

• RC1 – RC4: Already available
• RC5: Planned for end of March

Please test the latest RC and report any issues — your feedback directly helps us improve the final release.

Ideas & Contributions Welcome

The extended timeline also means there is still room for new ideas. If you have suggestions for features, improvements, or areas that need attention in OCCT 8.0 — we'd love to hear them. Feel free to open an issue or join the discussion.
