Background and context

A user in OCL potentially has multiple ways to create, edit and configure their content and user experience. We believe it may be beneficial to create a single entry point into those UI's.

User Story

As a: logged in OCL user
I want: to have a single entry point to customise my OCL experience
So that: I can easily recognise where to update my settings or those of Organizations I am a member of.

Comments

  • We should allow a user to update personally relevant settings from the Settings page
  • For settings related to collaborative 'objects', such as an Organization, we should allow a user to edit their role in that from the Settings page, but link them to the specific section to edit the Object itself.

Dashboard-Menu

A user may access the Settings from the My Account menu.

Canonical

A user may have different options in the left hand navigation. Some pages may offer editing capability, others may provide links to another UI, such as the 'Edit Organization' form.
