I am having problem to plot results and run animation with the latest OpenDrift version, Anyone else?

I just installed OpenDrift in a new computer, and when plotting or running results I get the error: "GEOSException: IllegalArgumentException: Points of LinearRing do not form a closed linestring" I tried to understand and fix it, but none of the solutions I tried worked. I appreciate any help on this subject.

Thus we could add the same workaround to OpenDrift?

Yes, looks like it. This is a fix that ideally would be done in Cartopy or shapely, but I think we have to add it here as well.

Hi @knutfrode and @gauteh. Thanks for the discussion. I am supposed to add the lines 127 to 137, as in #1823 ? if it is correct, can you point to the full address path where I will find the right "trajan/plot/init.py" ?

Dear all, I'd like a clarification, please. What did I do wrong?

1. I installed Trajan
2. edited the file init.py in the folder "~/softwares/miniforge3/envs/opendrift/lib/python3.14/site-packages/trajan/plot/" to add the lines 127 to 137 in the traceback plot: protect gridliner against Shapely 2.x LinearRing error #1823 above
3. restarted the opendrift environmente "conda activate opendrift"
4. open the ipython
5. runned the trajan and openoil examples
6. none worked, same error message "... GEOSException: IllegalArgumentException: Points of LinearRing do not form a closed linestring"

Where did I go wrong?
