Feature request: freehand move orthomosaics to align to basemap

Hello,

What about giving the possibility to move the orthomosaics in space to reduce the GPS low absolute accuracy?
My orthomosaics generally have a good relative accuracy (sometimes below 2-3 cm), so I think that giving the ability to move them above the basemap would give a nicer result and compensate the lack of RTK/GCP.
My idea is that this moving automatically reflects into the georeferencing data integrated in the geotiff, so when you download and open in a GIS software it is automatically better aligned to the basemap. Of course I need to obtain this without affecting at all the map accuracy.

The closest I got to this was using a plugin of my opensource GIS software that lets me freehand move the geotiff to better align to the basemap. I was mentioning the map accuracy because at a first look the plugin seems to work correctly, but taking a deeper analysis it turns out that the geotiff is being slightly resized when loaded. Of course this can be neglected if your goal is a powerpoint presentation or a printed sheet, but not if you aim to use the geotiff to measure things.

Basically, this would be a feature that allows to set an arbitrary X/Y offset to all outputs. This seems like a post processing task that QGIS is better suited for. If you absolutely want to align results to a basemap, you could use GCPs (and pick points directly from the map).

Note that basemaps are not ground truths and can be off by several meters.

The feature is exactly an X/Y offset postprocessing, with the facilitation that in my mind this could be done freehand adjusting the alignment with a trial and error process in the map view.
I was not precise in my previous post, as the basemaps can be off by several meters. My idea is to "fake" the alignment just to make it look nicer, and on the other hand maintain the exact same accuracy as the original output.
Of course I would never think to use the resulting geotiff to calculate world coordinates, this would be just an aesthetic feature (which I think would also allow to align existing datasets without having to reprocess them to use the autoalign feature)

I hope that the reason behind idea is more clear now :)
