Dear @leonardgoo, Can you clarify whether you are trying to model a marine riser in OpenFAST or whether you plan to couple BeamDyn to some other software? In OpenFAST, BeamDyn is set up to only model blades that are cantilevered to the hub and free at the tip and BeamDyn is coupled to AeroDyn, not HydroDyn. Changing the boundary conditions of BeamDyn would require a change to the theory basis and source code of BeamDyn. Best regards, |

I want to use the BeamDyn library to solve my problem, which is the dynamic response of a marine riser. The only problem is that the boundary condition should be pinned-pinned and I cannot find some instructions about how to achieve this. Is this idea possible?
